Dave, Jen & family

I really love delivering photographs to my clients. Here are some of the final images they picked for gifts and to adorn their wall. It is an honor to know something you have created will become a family treasure.

Labor Day

Driving back from los Angeles, I had to pull over when I saw what I could only guess was an oil refinery. It had just stopped raining and I couldn’t resist.

Photoshop Pinup; Before and After

I Don’t usually do a ton of photoshop work on an image. But one in particular, I thought, needed to be shopped a bit. OK, A LOT. The model was stunning, but in a pool FILLED with people. It happened at Tiki Oasis where there was no way you could ask 50 people to get out of the water for about 5 minutes. I was able to capture the final moment when Nikki Napalm was finally able to get up on the barely inflated raft after struggling not to get her hair or makeup wet. She succeeded and this was the moment I grabbed. Enjoy the before and after. Um, yes…   I did add her foot.

The Prophet

“Prophet!” said I, “thing of evil – prophet still, if bird or devil!

By that Heaven that bends above us – by that God we both adore –

Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,

It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore –

Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore.”

Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore.”

Jake The Boston Terrier

While dog sitting my parents dog, or what they refer to as my younger brother, I found in my garage an old 100mm macro lens. I though I would take  a few snaps of the little guy and test out the sharpness of the lens.

Bayfront Hilton Hotel ~ San Diego

The other night while waiting for the fireworks to begin, there was this huge party going on right across the bay from me. I thought I was set up in the perfect position to capture the 4th of July show. While I was waiting I trained my camera on the party and the host happened to be the Bayfront Hilton. As it turned out, I was not in the right position for the fireworks show at all. But, I got a few shots of this 4 star hotel then moved to where I could snap some pyrotechnics.

4th of July in San Diego

The Fam was way to tired to go out and see the fireworks. It was the perfect opportunity to grab the old clicker box and capture some fire shooter thingies. So, how did I do? They were shot at the embarcadero on the San Diego bay.

Old Highway 80

I decided to take a drive east today to see what I could find. This building off of Old Highway 80 caught my attention. It reminded me of that Talking Heads song Nothing but Flowers. Entropy at its finest.
