Harbor Drive Bridge

Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge, San DiegoHave you ever wondered wht 26.8 Millon dollars looks like? Wonder no more. In fact you can walk on it in the form of the new Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge. It is a think of beauty and a landmark that San Diegans can be proud of. Not like that hideous giant eyesore next to the USS Midway, the sailor kissing the nurse. Blech. The bridge is supposed to be one of the longest self-anchored suspension bridges for pedestrians in the US. Although I would question why a suspension bridge is at all necessary there, it is stunning.

Star Wars on Blu-ray

Star Wars by Marc Balanky

Star Wars by Marc Balanky

Ok, if you know anything about me, you know I am a huge Star Wars geek.  I saw all 6 of the original releases in theaters. I have a Darth Tater Potato Head on my desk. I have even played with the idea of dressing up as a Jedi or Storm Trooper on Halloween and at Comic-Con.

The one thing that fans have been asking since the inception of high definition TVs is the re-release of Star Wars in the shiny new format.

Well Star Geeks, your time is here…  almost.

The new Blu-ray movies (all 6) will come out fall of 2011.

The disks will include tons of bonus content, including the original cut intro of Return of the Jedi. Sweet.

So, in celebration of the new disks I created this image with the help of my sons toys.

No, I swear they are his.

Ikea Lamp

Crazy Swedes

Crazy Swedes

I love this crazy light. Only 90 bucks. I am sure it is REALLY EASY to put together.

Really, what is the deal with Ikea. you need a engineering degree to be able to figure out what pieces to get and how they all go together. There is no way you can only make one trip and have all the pieces you need.

Sorry for the rant. I am heading back to Ikea.
